U9 Advanced Skills Hockey Program.

Build Your Skills. Grow Your Game.

The U9 Advanced Skills Hockey Program provides players with an additional opportunity to develop their skills beyond regular team practices in a positive, structured and appropriately challenging environment.

Led by Director of Skills Stan Sibert, the program focuses on building strong skating and puck-skill fundamentals while progressively introducing more advanced concepts. Sessions are designed to help players improve their confidence, technique and understanding of the game.

Program Focus

Skating Development: Balance, edge control, change of direction, transitions, and efficient movement with and without the puck.

Puck Skills: Puck control, stickhandling in motion, passing, receiving, shooting, scoring, and introductory deception.

Hockey Sense/IQ: Age-appropriate small-area games and situational activities that develop awareness, decision-making and confidence with the puck.

Progressive Development: Drills and progressions will be adjusted to the ability of each group, allowing players to develop at an appropriate pace while continuing to be challenged.

Skill-Based Grouping: Players will be grouped by ability where possible to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Whether your child is looking to improve technical execution, learn how to play at a faster pace, or gain a better understanding of the game, this program provides the coaching and environment to make it happen.

The program will be a 10-week program with the option to register for either session #1 or session #2.
