Delta Stars Female Hockey

The Delta Stars Female Hockey program is about more than cupcakes and cheering. Girls who choose to play with the Delta Stars are committed to playing great hockey and empowering each other to achieve excellence. Our girls’ teams are competitive, determined to win, and committed to their team.

Our female players are pushed to develop their skills through focused team practices, regular skill development with a professional coach, and competitive gameplay. The girls who play with the Delta Stars are leaders in female hockey, through their ability to battle to win, work together, and continue to improve.

The commitment to excellence on and off the ice is led by our exceptional coach coordinator, Brittany Kirby. Brittany won Female Coach of the Year from Hockey Canada in 2022, in addition to coaching at Delta Hockey Academy. Through regular coaching and needs assessments, Brittany focuses her skill development and programming to ensure the teams are being coached at their level. Brittany is returning for her sixth season with the Delta Stars.

Our current program supports girls aged 9 through 17. This year, we have declared teams at U11, U13, U15, and U18. Team declaration is dependent upon enrolment.

SDMHA & the Delta Stars is a community-based, non-profit organization that provides a complete minor hockey program. Delta Stars registration is open to all females residing in Tsawwassen, Ladner, and North Delta. SDMHA is committed to the development of every player in the association, ensuring the development of individual skills, team play, and character.
