The Delta Cup was played Sunday, March 6 at Ladner Leisure Centre.  The four “Party In Da House” Champions from South Delta took on their North Delta counterparts.  Congratulations to the South Delta Bantam “Storm” and Midget “Serpents” for winning their games!  Both these teams are coached by Dave Kraemer.  Congratulations also to the Atom “Knights”, coached by Rob Kolmel, and the Peewee “Raptors” coached by Rick Albus for making it to the Delta Cup.  Registration for the 2016-2017 season opens June 1.  For more information on SDMHA and our programs please contact info@southdeltahockey.com or visit our website at www.southdeltahockey.com.

Rachel Johnson was the lucky winner chosen as the 7th man for the Canucks game against the Arizona Coyotes. Rachel was entered in the Every Kid’s Dream contest on the BC Hockey website – https://www.bchockey.net/NewsItem.aspx?id=2216 . This competition runs for every home game and is sponsored by the Vancouver Canucks, Save-On Foods and BC Hockey. As this was Rachel’s first Canucks game she was doubly excited. Rachel wore her South Delta colours well, which she proudly wears each week while representing the South Delta Female Peewee C1 ‘Hurricanes’ team, during the warm up skate with the Canucks. Although the Canucks lost the game (3-2) Rachel and her dad had a blast and it definitely provided for some great memories!
