No Open Ice

For those that have “NEW to hockey” players signing up this season, you will need to register in person (players aged 5-8 do not have to be in attendance) on  Tuesday August 24^th, 6-7pm at our Ladner Leisure Centre Storm Room (located in the rink upstairs opposite end from the score clock). This ensures all the “paperwork requirements” are met and that a Hockey Canada number can be generated for you. Those “new to hockey” will need to provide:

-          A non returnable copy of their Birth Certificate or Passport.

-          2 Proofs of Residency showing a South Delta address. These would include a tax notice, full page utility bill (we do not accept phone bills), Delta Cable bill or bank statement.

The HST will have the most impact on our ice cost. As a non profit Society this increase will have to be passed on to our membership. Our fees for this 2010 season will remain relatively unchanged, due in a large part, to a Gaming Grant that SDMHA received two years ago. Registration fees for 2010 reflect a Gaming Grant Discount of approximately $120.00 for each player.

 

  Wait lists are a reality so we suggest that you register prior to this date. SDMHA does have a cancellation policy should the need arise. It can be viewed on our web page under the registration fly out.

 

 

SDMHA is an organization that runs on volunteers. Over 250 parents step forward each year, to make it possible for the kids to have a great Canadian hockey experience. We hope you will consider volunteering this season.

If you have a returning player and a “new to hockey” player you will have to register the returning player on-line and also come to the registration in person for the “new to hockey” player only.

 

If you are transferring “into” SDMHA from another Association please contact our registrar at registrar@southdeltahockey.com. You will have further paperwork requirements.

 

Please register in the applicable category (skater, goalie, rep tryout or girls) and age as of December 31 2010.

Divisions are as follows:

 

• Hockey 1 age 5, born 2005                          Registration fee $365.00
• Hockey 2 age 6, born 2004                          Registration fee $440.00
• Hockey 3 age 7, born 2003                          Registration fee $500.00
• Hockey 4 age 8, born 2002                          Registration fee $500.00
• Girls Tyke ages 5 and 6, born 2005-2004  Registration fee $365.00
• Girls Novice ages 7-8, born 2003-2002     Registration fee $500.00
• Atom ages 9-10, born 2001-2000               Registration fee $580.00
• Peewee ages 11-12, born 1999-1998        Registration fee $585.00
• Bantam ages 13-14, born 1997-1996         Registration fee $590.00
• Midget ages 15-17, born 1995-94-93         Registration fee $610.00
• Juvenile ages 18-20, born 1992-91-90       Registration fee Boys $610.00, Girls $525.00 

 

REP Tryout Fees of $75.00 are in addition to the above noted registration fee.

 

Please note that Juvenile divisions are available in the registration system but girls will be transferred to Richmond (space permitting) and boys will be dependent on ice availability.  Should a boy’s Juvenile team exist it will be as a rep program only.

 

The online registration system will not work with Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6. You must update your Internet Explorer to 8 or use Firefox or Chrome.

  

If you choose to pay by cheque (dated today’s date), you will not be registered until the cheque has been received by SDMHA and cleared the bank. All returned cheques will be charged $30.00.
